Congratulations to Anna Strigel, CHS Junior, for being selected to participate in Southside Electric Cooperative’s Youth Tour, June 20-24, 2022. A total of 30 students will represent electric cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.
Students will travel to Norfolk and then to Williamsburg. There will be museum tours, a tour of a battleship, and the historic areas in Williamsburg and Jamestown. There will also be a dinner cruise and much of one day will be spent at Busch Gardens. The group will meet with a couple of members of the Virginia General Assembly to talk about civic engagement and will have a tour of Community Electric Cooperative in Windsor to learn more about co-ops.
The Youth Tour is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, explore, learn, and have fun. Southside Electric Cooperative covers all the expenses. We are so excited for Anna for being selected for this prestigious honor!
