Mr. Berkley

LCPS Families,

Lunenburg County Public Schools has decided to postpone Hybrid Instruction until the number of COVID-19 cases in our community has significantly improved.

Because it is critical for our students to receive high quality instruction each day, it is our goal to ensure that in-person learning is appropriately staffed when we return to hybrid instruction. At this time, positive cases of COVID-19 continue to prohibit staffing that will support in-person learning in our schools; therefore, LCPS will postpone its return to hybrid instruction. Virginia High School League (VHSL) activities and competitions will be postponed until hybrid instruction resumes.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in our county and exposure with our instructional staff as we move toward scheduling a hybrid learning date. It is our commitment to offer our staff and families as much notice as possible prior to changing our learning plan so that childcare and other arrangements can be made in a timely manner.

As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our teachers will continue to provide excellent instruction via virtual classes.  Students are encouraged to fully participate in all course activities.

Meal pick up and delivery, student appointments, Internet Cafe, etc. will all continue as they have been in our existing virtual learning environment.  Please continue to check our website and facebook pages for up to date information. Thank you.
