Eagle

Lunenburg County Public Schools officially kicked off the new school year with our Opening Convocation for faculty and staff on Friday, August 1, 2025. What a truly inspiring event it was!

This year’s theme, “Driving the Vision and Navigating the Challenges,” echoed through every message shared by our administrators, setting the tone for a year full of purpose, promise, resilience, and growth.

Our keynote speaker, Sam Glenn, brought the house down with his signature blend of humor, live art, and uplifting message. Through laughter and a stunning piece of on-the-spot artwork, he reminded us all that even the messiest situations can become masterpieces.

His message?

“Complain less, compliment more.”

“Don’t complain about the problem—contribute to the solution.”

“Relax, lighten up, and reconnect with what inspires you.”

Out of abstract chaos on his canvas, Sam created a majestic eagle—a symbol of strength, vision, and the ability to rise above challenges. Just like that eagle, LCPS is ready to soar into a phenomenal year, “Driving the Vision and Navigating the Challenges!

A wonderful lunch was provided by for all faculty and staff by Roger's Homestyle Cooking.
