LCPS Families: Due to road conditions, LCPS will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 13, 2025, for students and staff. Administrators will work from home virtually tomorrow. Maintenance staff will report at 10 a.m. to clear parking lots and walkways. The Budget Hearing and School Board Meeting originally scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, January 13, 2025, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Thank you and have a good evening.

LCPS will dismiss early today, Friday, January 10, 2025, due to the potential for snow to start this afternoon. CHS and LMS will dismiss at 2:30 p.m. KES and VES will dismiss at 3:00 p.m. Thank you!

LCPS will operate on a two-hour delay for students tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2025. GSSV and SVCC will NOT hold classes tomorrow. CHS GSSV and CHS SVCC CTE students are to report to CHS at 12:54 p.m. for their 3rd and 4th block classes. ALL STAFF should report to their buildings at the regular time. Thank you!

LCPS K-3 Students to Bring Home VA Language & Literacy Screeng System Results THIS WEEK K-3 students will be bringing home the results this week from our recent VA Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS). This screener replaces the PALS screener that was used in previous years across Virginia. Literacy screeners provide data so that classroom instruction and intervention can be tailored to student needs. Please use this information to help you understand your child's screening results.
