It's Handwashing Awareness Week! Cleanliness is a major factor in preventing foodborne illness. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of any germs is by washing your hands regularly. With the Flu, RSV, and COVID going around, handwashing is a great preventative measure that can easily be followed. #handwashingawarenessweek

This month’s focus in Character Education is Empathy. One way to think about Empathy is “understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like perspective-taking, conflict resolution, and leadership.

VES Families--We are focusing on Gratitude this month! One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and our happiness. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress management.
