LCPS K-3 Students to Bring Home VA Language & Literacy Screeng System Results THIS WEEK K-3 students will be bringing home the results this week from our recent VA Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS). This screener replaces the PALS screener that was used in previous years across Virginia. Literacy screeners provide data so that classroom instruction and intervention can be tailored to student needs. Please use this information to help you understand your child's screening results. 🚨For improved safety, we’ve introduced a new system in all of our main offices.🚨 ➡️Early Pick-Up: Parents, legal guardians, and anyone picking up a student must now present a driver’s license to be scanned or provide your full name and date of birth. ➡️Emergency Contacts: Only those listed on the student’s emergency form can pick up the student. ➡️Visitors and Personnel from other Buildings: Anyone coming to any of our buildings for any reason must come to the main office, and visitors must present a driver’s license for check-in. Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe and secure!
