KES Families--We are focusing on Gratitude this month! One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and our happiness. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress management.

If you would like to chaperone on field trips, volunteer for field days, book fairs, or other school activities, please be sure to inquire about the chaperone/volunteer application or download the application from the Lunenburg County Public Schools website . Approvals last for 5 years. This process takes time so be sure to submit your applications as soon as possible. Enjoy having Monday, September 5, 2022 Labor Day off from school. Just a reminder that if your child has special dietary requirements (food allergies, special food preparation, etc.), you must provide a note from your child's doctor to the school nurse. It needs to be on the doctor's letterhead or written from the doctor's prescription pad. A new note has to be provided every school year. Thank you!

The VDH Tele-Town Hall Series for Families originally scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, 5:30 - 6:30 PM EST has been POSTPONED due to the severe storms moving throughout the central region of Virginia this evening. VDH will reach back out with a new date and time for next week.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH--Lunenburg County Public Schools is providing FREE breakfast and lunch for any child 18 and under. That's FREE meals for ALL children! Adults may eat breakfast for $2.50 and lunch for $4.00. Where: LMS & CHS When: Monday - Thursday, June 6-July 14 Breakfast - 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Lunch - 1:00-1:30 p.m. **NO MEALS WILL BE SERVED ON MONDAY, JUNE 20 OR MONDAY, JULY 4. **MEALS MUST BE CONSUMED ONSITE!
