Lunenburg County Public Schools will be closed to students, Friday, March 13, 2020. The Governor’s School of Southside Virginia will operate as usual. All staff will report to duty on time and receive detailed instructions from their building administration for the day. This day will be used as a teacher workday for staff members to proactively prepare instructional materials in the event that schools are closed for an extended period of time.

The CHS FBLA field trip to the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank scheduled for March 19, 2020 has been canceled as a precaution. We will attempt to reschedule the trip at a later date.

Thank you to all who donated baked goods for the CHS After Prom Bake Sale! It was a HUGE success with $646.50 collected for CHS After Prom through purchases of baked items and raffle tickets. The CHS After Prom Committee is very appreciative of all the community support of the After Prom through the monetary donations from businesses and individuals.

Prom Preview & Spring Fashion Show is Sunday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at CHS. $5 admission. Proceeds go toward the Prom. AfterProm Bake Sale will be at the show with all proceeds going toward the AfterProm. Come out Sunday for a great event and support the CHS Prom and AfterProm!

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, Lunenburg County Public Schools will close early today, Thursday, February 20. Central High School and Lunenburg Middle School will close at 12:30 pm. Kenbridge And Victoria Elementary will close at 1:00 pm.

Just a reminder that Friday, February 14 is an early release day for LCPS Students. CHS and LMS will dismiss at 12 noon. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. LCPS will be closed Monday, February 17 in observance of President's Day.
