All afternoon and evening activities for Lunenburg County School students and families are canceled due to impending weather issues. This includes the Profile of a Virginia Graduate Program at Central High School this evening.

Summer School and the Gifted Summer Exploration Program will close at 2:00 today, Thursday, June 20, due to the threat of severe storms this afternoon. Therefore buses will be dropping students off approximately 1 hour earlier than normal. Stay safe this afternoon.

LMS volleyball tryouts will begin Monday, August 5th, 8:30AM-10:30AM. Girls must have a completed VHSL physical prior to tryouts. Any questions-please email anna.bolling@k12lcps.org.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week and Stacy Tingen with the Virginia Lottery stopped by to say "Thank you!" to our Teachers! He left special scratch off tickets for our teachers at all four school buildings. These tickets highlight the lottery's support of public education. On behalf of the Virginia Lottery, "Thank you for all that each of you do to help shape the futures of our children!"
The school year is coming to a close in just 14 days. Our efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism are looking good, so don't give up now! Keep coming to school every day! Many fun activities are planned towards the end of the year to recognize our students' hard work. Also, good luck on the rest of the SOL Tests!

Teachers work hard on a daily basis, going above and beyond, to educate our students. They mold young lives and give them the tools they need to become productive citizens. Parents - It won't be long now before SOL Testing begins! There is a link to the SOL Calendar on the Parent Resources Page of our website. Most of the testing is during the month of May, but 5th & 6th Grade Reading are on April 30th!
