Mr Jeter's 8th grade building trades class learns the technique of cutting metal and welding.

Mrs. Bayne's Teachers for Tomorrow students visited Lunenburg Middle School to give students in Mr. Sandifer and Mr. Shortridge's classes a survey on learning styles. They discussed the characteristics of each style and how it can benefit them to know and share their learning styles with their teachers.

LMS 7th grade science classes and 8th-grade horticulture class collaborate in the school greenhouse for a round of cross-curricular learning. They learned about the greenhouse effect.


Thank you Pennington Seed for the generous donation of terra cotta pots to our Agriculture programs at the middle and high schools. We truly appreciate your continued support of our students!

Lunenburg County Public Schools will be conducting drills for lock-down procedures in each of its schools during the week of January 9, 2023. These are just DRILLS. This message serves as our official notice. Code of Virginia Lock-Down Drills § 22.1-137.2. In every public school, there shall be a lock-down drill at least once during the first 20 school days of each school session, in order that students and teachers may be thoroughly practiced in such drills. Every public school shall hold at least two additional lock-down drills after the first 60 days of the school session. Every public school shall provide the parents of enrolled students with at least 24 hours notice before the school conducts any lock-down drill. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students shall be exempt from mandatory participation in lock-down drills during the first 60 days of the school session.


Before leaving for Winter Break, LMS teacher, Mr. Shortridge talked to the Career Investigation students about careers in manufacturing.


Mr. Edmondson's 8th-grade Introduction to Plant Science students learned how to make holiday wreaths this past week.
