April 6, August 3, and October 5 are the new meeting dates with locations and times remaining the same.

Kindergarten and Pre K Students will NOT attend school on Friday, March 6. This is the day of the Kindergarten Registration Program. Pre K Students are encouraged to come to the program that day to register for Kindergarten at the elementary school they will attend next year.

2nd grade students, please come prepared for your field trip. If your student was planning to pack lunch for the field trip, please send their packed lunch. Students will be eating earlier than usual. Parents may want to send a snack.

Lunenburg County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay today, Wednesday, February 26. This is due to fog. 12 month employees code 12-2.

The Kindergarten Registration Program is Friday, March 6, 2020 from 9-11 a.m. at Kenbridge and Victoria Elementary Schools. You can register your child at the school they will attend anytime during the school day the week of March 2-6. See below for more information


Lunenburg County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow. 12 month employees code 12-8.


Due to the possibility of inclement weather, Lunenburg County Public Schools will close early today, Thursday, February 20. Central High School and Lunenburg Middle School will close at 12:30 pm. Kenbridge And Victoria Elementary will close at 1:00 pm.

Just a reminder that KES Pre K students will NOT ATTEND school on Friday, February 14 or Monday, February 17.

Just a reminder that Friday, February 14 is an early release day for LCPS Students. CHS and LMS will dismiss at 12 noon. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. LCPS will be closed Monday, February 17 in observance of President's Day.

Due to schools being closed Friday, February 7, the doughnut pick up for the KES Third Grade Fundraiser will be postponed until Monday, February 10 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at KES.

Attendance reminders for all families: Please send an excuse from a doctor or a parent note within 3 days of your child’s return to school. Doctor excuses are always accepted. Parent excuses (notes or calls) can only be accepted for 6 total absences per school year.

Please come join us tonight from 5 to 8 at Sundae’s (formerly known as Tastee Freez) to celebrate Comet Night! Tomorrow we will have a $1 book sale for 1st and 2nd grade, and our $1 book sale for 3rd, 4th, and 5th will be on Thursday. The book sale is not for parent attendance.

2020-2021 Pre K Applications are NOW available! Our Pre K Screening Day will be on April 10, 2020 at Kenbridge Elementary School. Get your application in by March 13, 2020 to receive an appointment time! You can get a hard copy of the application at either Victoria or Kenbridge Elementary or at the school board office. The application is also on our website at www.lunenburgcountyschools.org. Go to the menu on the main page, and you will find the application under the "Parents" section.


Third grade donut orders and money are due tomorrow.

Please be reminded that Lunenburg County Public Schools will hold a Public Hearing on the FY2021 Budget will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6th in room 104 at Central High School.
