K.E.S. Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents:
Students who have chosen the hybrid option can return to school on an A/B schedule starting next week. Students who have chosen the virtual learning option can remain virtual and do not have to report to school.

These 2 days will be regular school days. Student school day hours are 8:30-1:30. Only Pre-K and Kindergarten students are invited on this day because they are new to our building.
ALL K.E.S. students, Pre-K- 5th grade, who have chosen the hybrid (A/B) schedule will begin with face-to-face learning on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd. Fridays will remain VIRTUAL for all students.

Good evening LCPS Families. Lunenburg County Public Schools has decided to postpone hybrid instruction until the number of COVID 19 cases in our community has significantly improved. At this time, positive cases of COVID 19 continue to prohibit staffing that will support in person learning in our schools. Virginia High School League activities and competitions will be postponed until hybrid instruction resumes. Students are encouraged to fully participate in all course activities. Meal pick up and delivery, student appointments, and Internet Cafe will all continue as they have been in our existing virtual learning environment. K.E.S. families: We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend. This is a reminder that assignments in Week 13 modules are due tonight. Please be diligent in your adherence to due dates. There will be no in-person appointments at K.E.S. this week. Teachers will be available by phone, email, and zoom to support students.
KES families: Progress reports were mailed today. All students that have achieved having no missing assignments for Weeks 9 through 13 received a special certificate in their Canvas inbox. KES will not be hosting any in-person appointments next week, November 30th through December 4th. Teachers will still be available by phone, through Canvas, and through zoom. Please continue to keep up with your modules and due dates. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
KES families: All assignments in Week 13 modules are due tonight. Tomorrow any missing assignments will be marked with zeros in Powerschool. Progress reports will be printed and mailed on Tuesday. Please have students completed all missing work tonight so progress report grades will be an accurate reflection of their academic achievement.
Third grade parents,
Tomorrow your student will begin a Project Based Assessment in social studies. This project is very important and will take some time to do. Please be sure to work with your student as they complete this project. It will be due on December 2nd. Third graders will not be given any additional social studies assignments until after the due date. They will also not be given any language arts work next week in order to be sure they have plenty of time to complete it. All directions are available in canvas. We hope your student will be successful while also having fun while as they complete this project.
KES families: Please be aware that progress report time is quickly approaching. Zeros are being recorded weekly for missing assignments. It is important to be sure your child turns in assignments in weekly modules every week. Missing assignments, zeros, make a huge impact on student grades. If your child is struggling academically, please contact his or her teacher. Students must have a scheduled appointment to be admitted into the building. When coming for an appointment, the child must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for answering health questions at the student’s arrival. The responsible adult must wait for the student to have their temperature checked and be checked in completely before leaving. An adult must be present to pick the student up at the agreed upon time /end of the appointment. Teachers will be reaching out to each family to inquire about the family’s pick-up/drop-off address and school choice, hybrid or virtual learning, for second semester.
One last week for the Kenbridge Elementary School fundraiser!! If your child has not signed up it’s not too late to do it! All it takes is sending out a few emails and text messages with the link for people to buy and raise money for our school! The more money we make the less fundraising we need to do. 🙌🏼
