The Kenbridge Elementary School PTO is extending the chocolate fundraiser 2 MORE WEEKS! More boxes can be checked out this week and next, money will be due Monday, October 4th at the LATEST! If any local businesses would like to contribute by buying boxes to sell, please contact (434) 262-0320. From KES PTO: We are one week into Kenbridge Elementary School's chocolate fundraiser and well on our way to the goal! Please show support for our teachers and staff by participating any way you can. Your child can either sign out 1 or more boxes to sell, or a donation can be made through our PayPal link that is attached. One good idea would be to copy the PayPal link and send to family and friends, that way if they don’t want chocolate they can have another way to help out! The proceeds go towards things like money for teachers classroom needs, field days at the end of the school year, special events for the students, staff appreciation days, and SO MUCH MORE! Our virtual students can participate too! You can click the link on the online check-out form and boxes will be sent home with your child. Growth Assessments will be administered for LCPS 3rd-8th Grade Students during September 2021. A letter with more details has been sent home with students, emailed to families, posted as a news article here on our website, and posted on Facebook.

KES families: We look forward to welcoming students and families tomorrow at open house. Teachers reached out to make appointments. Masks will be required in the building. Families are encouraged to bring their supplies. Activity fees are $5 for grades K-5. Please complete your online Linq registration prior to arrival. KES families: Teachers will be reaching out on Monday to schedule open house appointments. Please do your best to complete the registration process on Linq to complete all necessary forms for the upcoming school year as soon as possible. These forms must be completed before school and are also necessary prior to students being issued devices. The instructions were mailed out to each family with student numbers attached. KES families: Your child’s new homeroom teacher will reach out to you starting Monday, August 9th. to schedule appointments for Open House which will be held on August 12th. If you have multiple children at KES, please let the teacher who calls you first know this so we can schedule you accordingly. Bring any school supplies with you to Open House. Each student will receive a device for this year. Please stop by the computer lab to pick up your child’s device before you leave. All school forms are online this year! Instructions and info were mailed to each student on Monday. Assistance will be available at Open House on how to complete these forms. At this time, masks are OPTIONAL in the building. This decision can change at any time based on CDC and VA Department of Health guidelines. We will continue with our enhanced cleaning routines.

KES families: Between tomorrow and Wednesday the $1 book sale will be visiting every classroom. If you would like for your child to purchase books please send at least $1 with them to school.
