We're down to the Final Four for our March Madness Attendance Challenge! The teams have been competing the last four weeks and four teams have made it to the final four round representing their schools in the Final Four face off. Representing from VES is Mrs. Moody (K), Mrs. Hershberger (5th grade), and Mrs. Pinchesky (4th grade); from KES, are Mrs. Nowlin (K), Mrs. Wilkins (3rd Grade), and Mrs. Bentley (5th Grade). The 1st period classroom teams representing LMS are Mr. Bailey and Mr. Ellis, and at CHS the 1st-period classroom teams are Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Cundiff, and Mr. McGrath. VES and KES will face off in the Finale Four attendance round while LMS and CHS will face off. Your teams are all pictured here! #LCPSAttendanceChallenge

Congratulations to M. Reese! She placed 3rd in the Super Regional Forensics Competition at West Point High School on Saturday, March 9. She will advance to the State Competition on March 30th.

Congratulations to our CHS March Co-op Students of the Month! R. Bruce, G. Gill, and K. Coles. All three students earned their CNA licenses through SVCC last year. Currently, they work at the Chase City Health and Rehab. They are receiving hands on experience in their jobs. Bruce & Gill plan to pursue their Registered Nursing degrees from SVCC in the fall. Coles plans to attend either Virginia State or ODU in the fall and pursue a degree in nursing with a minor in Sports Management.

In honor of March Madness, LCPS has created a fun-filled attendance challenge among the schools. Each week classrooms will face off in teams against each other. At the end of the week the classrooms daily attendance average will be calculated together and whichever team has the highest percentage of attendance will win!
