It's Handwashing Awareness Week! Cleanliness is a major factor in preventing foodborne illness. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of any germs is by washing your hands regularly. With the Flu, RSV, and COVID going around, handwashing is a great preventative measure that can easily be followed. #handwashingawarenessweek

Mr. Seamster's Economics & Personal Finance classes are very thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Dillon Robinson from Lunenburg County 4-H this week. Mr. Robinson helped us develop resumes and cover letters and prepare for mock Job Interviews. We're also thankful for the members of our community that gave their time to help interview and provide us with constructive criticism. This has been a great learning experience and will benefit us all as we enter the workforce.

Tonight's rescheduled Scholastic Bowl Match with Cumberland and Prince Edward is cancelled due to illness.

Thank you to the Culpeper Police Department for presenting, "Hidden in Plain Sight," for our LMS and CHS parents and guardians last evening. Attendees were treated to a wonderful meal before the program. Officers recreated the bedroom of a teenager and helped parents to identify signs of risky behavior that may go unnoticed to the untrained eye. Parents and guardians were able to go on stage and examine the room close up. The topics of alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, illicit drugs, vaping, mental disorders, sexual behavior, were covered in the program. Approximately 40 parent and guardians joined us last evening, and we thank them for attending!

LCPS Families--Be sure that your child comes to school EVERYDAY! Let's reduce chronic absenteeism! Check out the November Attendance Incentive details below. #AttendanceMatters #StayConnectedKeepLearning

They are also ranked 2nd in the state out of 436 teams.
Another team at CHS led by M. Lee, J. Morris, L. White and T. Redd is 2nd in the VCU region and 3rd in the state. The competition ends in December.
